How did you get started? I am from the Netherlands and grew up cycling. Cycling is a normal mode of transport in Holland. I started mountain biking 5 months ago and I am loving it :-)

Is your family supportive? Yes, they are all riding a bike.

Pick three words that describe how you ride a bike: Strong, determined, courageous

If you had a mechanical, you would: a)walk it home b)ride it home and screw the consequences c)pull out your portable workshop and fix it If I know how to fix it, I would fix it with my portable workshop.

Do you race? Nope

What pushes you to ride? The freedom mountain biking and being in nature is the best way clear my mind. It's also a great workout.

How does riding impact your everyday life? When I have a day or morning off, I will get on my bike. I am commuting to work as well. I couldn't live without my bikes.

When you crash you: a) laugh it off b) let a little water escape c)swears loudly Depends how I crash. I can laugh when it's a little crash but scream (Not swearing)  when it's a big one.

What do you use to explain an off day on the bike? I need a day off to give my body a rest!

What’s your favourite trail and why? Lynton and Shepards hill. It's close to home and there are some amazing trails.

What else do you do when you hang out? Going for a walk or swim, enjoying a nice glass of wine with my friends.

What do you talk about when on the bike? About life or how to improve my mountain bike skills.
