Yesterday I went to Hanmer Springs with the Harris Family, Todd was over from Wellington. I was promised singletrack, hot springs and a great time so I thougt it would be a great idea to tag along.

I was dropped of along with Mark at the Top of Tank trail, halfway up one of the passes. This lead into a nice singletrack descent with tight corners and narrow trail back into Hanmer itself. Hanmer trails are generally quite easy and not at all technical. Most of the rest of the riding consisted of fairly flat, super easy trails around the park in town. Once the others grew tired, they retired to the hot springs and I managed to smash out a lap of one of the passes. I found some sweet single track and an awesome loose descent.

We stopped past a Thai place for dinner and had amazing pad thai for dinner followed by ice cream.
